1 liter whole milk 🥛
500 ml 30–36% cream
700 g sugar
1 vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 🌼

1️⃣ Preparing the macerate:
Thinly peel the lemons with a paring knife – only the yellow part of the peel (the white part adds bitterness). Place the peels in a large jar and pour the alcohol over them. Close the jar and let stand in a dark, cool place for 7 days. Shake gently daily.

2️⃣ Prepare the cream base:
After a week, heat the milk, cream, sugar and vanilla in a large saucepan – do not boil, but heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Let cool completely.
