Where Not to Place Mirrors

3. Directly Facing the Front Door

The front door is considered the main entry point for energy into a home. Symbolically, it represents opportunity, finances, relationships, and forward movement.

When a mirror is placed directly opposite the entrance, it reflects that incoming energy straight back outside. Energetically, it’s as if the home is rejecting what’s trying to enter.

This placement is often associated with:

Money that comes in but quickly disappears
Opportunities that never fully materialize
Plans that stall or fall apart
A persistent feeling of blockage

What to do instead:

Move the mirror to a side wall
Angle it so it reflects something positive, like artwork, a plant, or natural light
Avoid any placement where the mirror directly faces the door

2. In the Bedroom, Reflecting the Bed

The bedroom is meant to be a place of rest, healing, and emotional restoration. A mirror that reflects the bed can disrupt this process.
