Simple bread without kneading in 5 minutes
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
If using dry yeast, dissolve it in warm water for 5 minutes. If using fresh yeast, crumble it directly into the flour.
Pour the water and yeast into the bowl with the flour, add olive oil if desired, and mix with a wooden spoon until all ingredients are well blended. No need to knead.
Let it rest:
Cover the bowl with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1.5 to 2 hours, until it has doubled in size.
Shaping the bread:
Once the dough has risen, carefully place it on a floured surface and shape it into a ball or a long loaf, depending on your preference. Touch the dough as little as possible to avoid degassing.
Second rise (optional):
For a fluffier bread, you can let the dough rise for another 30 minutes after shaping.
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 220°C.
If you like, you can cut slits into the top of the dough with a knife for a more rustic look.
Bake the bread for about 30 to 35 minutes, until it’s golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Cool:
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
And there you have it: a crispy and delicious homemade loaf, all without kneading! You can also customize this recipe by adding seeds, herbs, or even nuts.
Enjoy!😍
