Step by Step
Prepare a paste by mixing the baking soda with a little hot water until it’s thick and easy to spread.
Using a sponge or kitchen brush, spread the paste over the entire interior surface of the oven: walls, base, and door. Avoid covering the heating elements or electrical components.
Close the oven and let the mixture sit overnight. The baking soda will absorb the grease and soften any stuck-on residue.
The next day, spray white vinegar over the areas covered with the paste. An effervescent reaction will occur, helping to loosen stubborn grease.
With a damp cloth, remove any remaining baking soda along with any loose dirt. If necessary, repeat the application on stubborn areas.
To finish, cut a lemon in half and scrub the entire interior. The juice eliminates odors, adds shine, and leaves a fresh, pleasant scent.
Dry with a clean cloth and leave the door open for a few minutes to air out.
