Nettle in ALCOHOL is stronger than any medicine, my grandfather used to say: remember this recipe for life!

• Harvest nettles before they bloom: they are more potent (after flowering, the nutrients are absorbed into the flowers). Choose young shoots that are only a few centimeters long.
• Young nettles can be made into a tea; older ones should be boiled briefly to neutralize the stinging effect.

Nettle and Alcohol for Healthy Hair and Joint Pain Relief
This is a great home remedy for external use. Nettle prepared with alcohol is a great natural solution for withdrawal symptoms and also helps relieve pain and swelling in joints and muscles.

This is especially useful for those suffering from rheumatism or carpal tunnel syndrome.

Recipe:

• Using a wooden spoon, press fresh nettles into a 300 ml glass container until they are about ¾ full. Add the remaining alcohol (vodka or rakija).

• Seal the container tightly and let it sit for 4 days, pressing the nettle with a wooden spatula daily.

• After 4 days, strain through cheesecloth.

For hair care
If you’re struggling with hair loss, massage this mixture into your scalp every other day for two weeks.
To strengthen and thicken your hair, use an infusion after every wash.

For joint pain and swelling
Massage the mixture into painful joints before going to bed – this is especially good for sore wrists and knees.

It’s also effective for treating varicose veins: apply it to the affected areas with a cotton ball.

This is an effective home remedy that I highly recommend.
