🌿 What Is Holy Basil (Tulsi)?
Holy basil, or Ocimum tenuiflorum, is a sacred plant in traditional medicine across Asia. Known as Tulsi in Ayurveda and húng quế in Vietnamese cuisine, it’s a potent herb rich in antioxidants, essential oils, vitamins A and C, calcium, zinc, and iron.
Unlike common basil used in pasta dishes, holy basil has deeper healing properties:
Rejuvenates skin
Stimulates hair follicles
Fights inflammation and oxidative stress
Supports hormonal balance
✨ 1. Gray Hair Turns Black Again — Naturally
My grandma’s once-silver strands began turning dark again — and no, it’s not magic. Tulsi stimulates melanin production, the pigment responsible for natural hair color. Its antioxidants also protect the scalp and hair from premature aging.
